Sports and Exercising Rules during the Emergency Situation from May 12, 2020
Izglītības un Zinātnes ministrija (IZM) ir publicējusi sadarbībā ar Veselības ministriju izstrādātos nosacījumus un rekomendācijas sportošanas un fizisko aktivitāšu norisei, pulcējoties sporta norišu vietās ārkārtējās situācijas laikā no 2020. gada 12.maija, kas jāievēro, lai nodrošinātu sporta nodarbībās iesaistīto personu drošību un veselību.
Nosacījumus skatīt šeit: “Par fiziskajām aktivitātēm, pulcējoties sporta norišu vietās, ārkārtējās situācijas laikā no 2020. gada 12. maija.”

ISU Baltic Cup 6 in Short Track Speed Skating, Ventspils, March 12-14th
Ventspils Sports School SPARS in cooperation with Latvian Skating Association and International Skating Union (ISU) is organizing international Short Track speed skating competition series ISU Baltic Cup 6th stage. The competition will take place in Ventspils Olympic Centre Ice hall from March 12-14th. It is planned that at least 160 junior athletes from 7 countries will participate in the competition. ISU Baltic Cup 6th stage is sponsored bu Latvian Skating Association, Latvian Sports Federation Council and Ventspils Sports Administration.

ISU European Speed Skating Championships 2020 – January 10-12, Heerenveen, Nedherlands
The only Latvian speed skater Haralds SILOVS, representing the country in international competitions, took part in European Speed Skating Championships, that was held in Heerenveen, the Nedherlands from January 10-12. Haralds SILOVS competed in the 1500 m race and finished 17th with a result 1:48.50. Also athlete took part in the Mass Start competition and with a result 7:41.54 won high 7th place.

ISU Wold Cup series Speed Skating 2019/2020 Nur-Sultan, KAZ 06.-08.12. un Nagano, JPN 13.-15.12
Already tomorrow the 3rd World Cup in Speed Skating in Nur-Sultan, KAZ will begin with our athlete Haralds Silovs taking part. He will compete in the distances 1000 m and 1500 m.
The next World Cup stage in Asia will be held in Nagano, Japan from December 13-15 where Haralds Silovs will have starts in three distances – 1000 m, 5000 m and Mass start. Good luck Harald!

Latvian Nartional Short Track Speed skating with its members Karlis Kruzbergs, Reinis Berzins, Roberts Kruzbergs and Endijs Vigants take part in the Asia World Cup series which are held in Nagoya, JPN from 29.11.-01.12.2019, and in Shanghai, CHN from 06.12.-08.12.2019. Team Leader and coach Jekabs Saulitis is supporting Latvia team during the competitions. Results from WC 4 Nagoya see here
